Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Psychologist to join our growing traumatic brain injury program in Tennessee.
This hybrid position combines in-clinic patient care with community and field-based responsibilities. The clinician will provide behavioral health assessment and treatment for patients experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychological symptoms following traumatic brain injury, concussion, and other neurological conditions.
The ideal candidate is patient-centered, organized, comfortable working independently, and committed to providing evidence-based mental health care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health and psychological assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s symptoms, functional needs, and recovery goals
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to patients recovering from traumatic brain injury, concussion, and other neurological conditions
- Address symptoms such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, adjustment difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and cognitive-behavioral challenges associated with brain injury
- Complete evaluations, treatment notes, progress documentation, and care plans accurately and within required timeframes
- Collaborate with neurologists, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, coping strategies, treatment approaches, and recovery expectations
- Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary treatment planning
- Travel locally as needed to provide community-based services and support continuity of care
- Maintain compliance with all applicable clinical, ethical, documentation, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, PsyD or PhD, or a master’s degree in Social Work
- Current Tennessee licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Psychologist preferred
- Candidates eligible to practice through reciprocal licensure, compact privilege, or another applicable multistate authorization may also be considered
- Experience treating patients with traumatic brain injury, concussion, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic pain, neurological conditions, or cognitive impairment preferred
- Training in evidence-based treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or related modalities preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable providing care in both clinical and community-based settings
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
